Privacy policy

November 2020

Yummyproof is responsible for the processing of the personal data that you leave behind when visiting this website.

Which data are processed and why?

When you leave a comment or reply on the website, you enter your name and e-mail address and optionally also your (personal) website via the online form. We process this data along with the IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Comments can be checked by an automated spam detection service.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. You can read the privacy policy of the Gravatar service via https://automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture from Gravatar can be linked to your comment and be shown publicly within the same context. You can change your profile picture via gravatar.com.

Your email address will not be shown on our website. We only use this information within the context of your comment: for example to contact you to answer a question. If you have left comments on this website, you can easily request your data or have it removed by contacting us at hello@yummyproof.com.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on this website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

In addition, Google Analytics also uses a cookie. For this we have concluded a processor agreement with Google. We have taken extra measures to set up Google Analytics in a way that your IP address is anonymised. This way, your surfing behaviour remains anonymous and cannot be traced back to a specific person. Thanks to Google Analytics we gain insight into a number of statistics about visitor numbers, the pages visited, the traffic sources and other information that helps us to optimise the website. The data is stored on Google servers for a maximum of 26 months. We have not given Google permission to use this information for other Google services. If you prefer not to receive cookies from Google Analytics at all and would like to block this service completely, you can download an opt-out plugin for Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. With this plugin, your visit no longer counts in the statistics of any website that uses Google Analytics.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this website may contain embedded content such as YouTube videos or share buttons from social media platforms. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Measures for data protection

Yummyproof takes the necessary measures to protect your personal data. The hosting of this website takes place at a Belgian company on Belgian servers. And personal data is only collected with your permission and if there is a legitimate interest for it. If you have any doubts, you can always contact us so that we can check whether additional measures can be taken. This privacy statement can therefore always be supplemented or adjusted.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at hello@yummyproof.com.
